...but this does not fit in the Drum N' Bass category, and its more of a longer loop of beats than a complete Song, you've managed to make your own beats, rather than using FL presets, but your bassline is cheap and makes no sense, therefore I give you a 0 rating.

...come on man...sounds familiar?

Anyway...the title fits the theme, and as I see it, It was done as short project, just for fun, but it turned out well enough to be placed on newgrounds to get some notice.

the bassline is supposed to be like that, i just made this because i was bored. i literally just opened fl studio, and soon dragged over a sample, then another, and then just made a cheap fast bassline and exported it.

who cares what category it's in, NG doesnt have any decent ones anyway. same for loop/song

Nice...

I liked the minimalistic retro beat & bass, and the sounds you used were cool, the melody is a bit repetitive, but I liked it, its the kind of background music that fits perfectly while surfing the web, nothing I would dance to though :) ...1:52-1:56 reminded me of a part from Descent 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppVhPf D-27k&feature=related ---> PART(2:30-2:33)

I didn't like it...

...at first.., ...it sounded a bit repetitive.., but a bit later that catchy tune got me, so I've decided to write a short review while listening...

I like the sound used for the main melody it has a "soft" feel to it, the transitions are nice, and it all sounds quite balanced. I see no need for further modifications, because you'd have to change a lot to make it sound like something special. Don't get me wrong, for what it is, a stereotypical trance song, its fairly well made, I liked it, heard better of course, but gave you a 5/5 and 10* nevertheless ;)

[October Massacre]

Hmm...

...on some parts it sounds a bit like a midi tune, but I don't mean it in a rude way, I like that type of sound if executed correctly. I like the melody the most, its very catchy, and the 2:00 piano part is very nice, sax could use a better sample, but its cool. Overall I gave you a 10/10 5/5 because I can hear all the effort you put into this, and as I said, I don't mind if the music lacks some high-tech effects and stuff, heck I still listen to some of the old NES tunes. Keep it up ;) Oh yeah, and the track has a nice loop which was good to have while writing a review.

actually, that midi-sound might be because on three of the instruments on this song, they're HEAVILY distorted base sounds off of the SNES game mario paint. For instance, the panning bell is the star ;). I'm glad you liked my song, thanks for taking time to review and vote, it means a lot to me!

[Kirby's Dream Land - Credits]

I like it...

It almost sounds like an original mix from Nintendo, the reverb effect makes it sound more like a CD version, than a N64 or GBA one, but that's not to say that its bad. If I graded this for its uniqueness it wouldn't get such a high score, but since it's just a remix that sounds flawless, I gave it 5/5 10/10...keep 'em coming ;)

Pretty basic use of creepy sound modulation, but it gets the job done, It's nothing special, but certainly usable. If you stick long enough to this kind of "music" you'll get even better results ;)

It isn't all that bad, It could be used in a Kirby dream-like sequence. It's main problem lies in the continuation of the loop, the melody cuts off a bit awkwardly. It's a shame that there isn't a whole separate category for loops, because some of the nice ones get horrible scores just because many people don't understand what a loop is, and other people refuse to vote high because it takes less effort to make a loop than a whole track. Almost nobody wants to see a short loop taking a place higher than a whole piece. Anyway, I made my short Kirby loop and it got decent scores, so I decided to listen to other tracks in Kirby category, yours was listed among the worst ones, but I gave it a listen, and hey, I find it to be pretty decent ;)

[Castle of Tears: Bloodlines]

What to say...

...you showed true love towards the original and still managed to pull off something completely original. I love the part that starts around 3:56 it's amazing, and the the last two minutes really contribute to the whole composition. 5/5 10/10 MASTERFUL !!!
