[Sapphire Tears]

uuuu nice...

...first of all I like the name of the song as it fits perfectly, again as in your other work "If I had Lungs" the main melody is simple but I love the way you expand it further, the song doesn't get repetitive...

PROS:
Excellent flow and choice of sounds and effects, loved the part with the piano solo, rhythm is good for this kind of music.

CONS:
The sound used after the piano part at 2:30 is a bit too high, you could have done it better, and the track could use a better ending, but that is not a major flaw.

OVERALL:
Great stuff, I liked it and as I said in my other review if this is a solo project then it deserves a perfect score, but this one is actually better than that other track, so in whole honesty I can safely say that It deserves a high spot here on Newgrounds, It's that good, no major flaws, the song is what it is, there are better tracks than this but I like it the way it is, keep it up ;-) ...everything can be unique in one way or another so there can never be the ultimate so I give it 5/5 10/10

Thanks for the input, Bobox! Yeah, my music is all solo project of mine. I don't know a whole lot about anything other than just the composition of the music, so I tend to bumble my way around the EQing and Mastering. What a great way to start off my day by reading such nice words from a complete stranger! It's people like you that keep my hands on the piano!

That was kinda good man, there are parts of the song that could use some work and by that I mean some sounds sound a bit too distorted especially the guitar part and they prevent me to crank up the volume (and I have a good amplifier)

PROS:
I like the basic melody of the song, the guitar solo is cool, the song has a good tempo, the lyrics are nice and sound good with a vocoder and it's nice to listen to it in a loop

CONS:
You have a nice voice but the part without the vocoder could have used more rehearsing, and as I said the guitar is cool, but a bit too distorted.

OVERALL:
It's not that bad, it's quite good actually (the song was in a loop the whole time while I was writing this, and I think that says allot ;-) 5/5 10/10 ...gave you a high score because I suppose you also make solo projects like me...not the best thing on Newgrounds by all means, but the song shows that you have good talent and time will only show improvement, I'm sure of it.

Thanks for such a great review! It's always so refreshing to hear input in a sincere way. I know the EQing on the song is a little off, but it always seems by the time I finish a song, and am about to wrap it up (with eqing and recording vocals) I'm usually so tired of hearing the song that I tend to half ass it. ...if you did it all by yourself, if that's the case you deserve 5/5 10/10, and mainly because you made an all original melody which is always a bonus, this is also one of your better tunes.

Happy "retro" tunes...

...sounds like a nice video game tune with a touch of spicy latin flavor, and I agree with *Zan08, but I hope it's all your work ;) 5 & 10 ...it's not the best thing on Newgrounds but I give high scores to anything that gets my attention in a good way :)

...I like it, good choice of sounds and nice progression till 1:52 but the part between 1:52-2:17 gets a bit repetitive (nothing too annoying but you could have expanded the melody a bit) after that it's all good. Gave you 5 & 9 (but it deserves a 9.5 ;)
